In 2730, the United Terran Republic was under the control of their current Supreme Councilor, Dmitri Antinov, who soon revised and renamed the faction to the United Terran Federation. The UTR had wanted to expand it's reach on the Orion–Cygnus Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy, as does the UTF. One of the last old missions of the UTR to expand in this fashion was the mission to Sirius. It was a 5 year journey, but on the ship, it seemed to only last a few months due to the workings of FTL. During this time, the crew was completely disconnected from the UTR, which unbeknownst to them had switched leaders in this time. Once they had landed the ship on the planet of Rytera in the Sirius Star System, they attempted to re-establish communications with the UTR. The newly commissioned Space Guard communicator responded to them, explaining the liquidation of the previous communicator, as well as all other government officials. The communicator also told them that their mission was terminated and will not be endorsed nor supplied. Ship Captain Daren Groves declared himself the President of the Federation of Sirius at this moment, forced into independence from the UTF. President Groves elected the Head of the Ministry of Security to be the ships Gunnery Sergeant, considering that he had no military background. He selected the Lance Corporals to be his personal protectors, and the rest of the squad to keep his control over the other members. The Head Researcher was promoted to the head of the Ministry of Science and Engineering. This kind of promotion was carried out to all his ministries. Groves then set up a small camp, which over the years came to become the city of New Concento which is now 1 Million Strong, surrounded by walls. They soon learned that Rytera was a very cold environment, and their positioning on it was not ideal. Temperature went up as high as only 50 Degrees F, and went down to -40 Degrees F. They developed everything that a new nation would require, including agriculture of wheat and other cold weather plants. The days on Rytera are only 20 Hours, which proved to force the new 'Ryterian' population to adapt their sleep habits. After years of development, Groves finally had leadership over something barely applicable to the title of 'nation', but with his 1 Million People, he had a military of 200,000, with new and state of the art weaponry developed by the original head of Science and Engineering. His people were loyal to him for a long time, until news and rumor struck of a possible UTF retaking and invasion of Rytera. Some of the weaker minded decided to pledge their allegiance to the UTF in hopes of being spared during it, creating rebellion in the FOS. The FOS uses their military as a police force to control the rebels, but not wanting it to become a police state, even though they dare near it. We are now in the year 2752, where Groves original ministries are still in power, the UTF is realizing that they are not the only power in the galaxy, as they are soon to find out that their other colonies exhibit similar behaviors. #For_Empire_And_Sovereignty
